Hoooweee! Dazzling!
1 mil out with no cold setting – I’ll take it.
I checked the alignment on Michael’s Max frame today and found the seat tube was out 1 mil and the head tube had .5 mils of twist over 250mm. I’m leaving it as is because there’s no sense in bending a frame to make it “perfectly” aligned when its this close.

In the works: Michael Maddox MAX Road
I’ve started working on Michael Maddox’s road frame using a Columbus MAX tubeset. I had to put the 953 frame on hold because the lugs I got were faulty. They had a bunch of little pits in them, which would have made a good polish impossible.

Hot Cross Action…
I finished up my cross bike last night. I’m a little disappointed with the paint match on the fork, but Spectrum is going to keep working on it. It’s pretty tough to match matte powder to matte wet paint. It will work for the Seattle Bike Expo this weekend, but the fork will have to be repainted next [...]
953 Project is underway…
I started working on Adam’s 953 road frame today. It’s going to be a standard oversized lugged frame with a 36mm headtube to fit an 1 1/8″ fork. The lugs will be polished with a light bead blast on the tubes. I’ve been wanting to make this bike for a while, so I’m pretty excited [...]
