In the works: Michael Maddox MAX Road

I’ve started working on Michael Maddox’s road frame using a Columbus MAX tubeset.  I had to put the 953 frame on hold because the lugs I got were faulty.  They had a bunch of little pits in them, which would have made a good polish impossible.  

Andy Newland’s of Strawberry Bicycles helped me make these plugs for my dropouts.  I had previously slotted my stays and filled them with silver, which is what you have to use when using stainless dropouts.  These little plugs, though, will be much stronger and take much less time to finish.  Making them was pretty fun too.
