I finished brazing the front triangle, couplers, and chainstays today.  David is getting a very classic lugged road bike that he’ll also use for long touring trips.  Lot’s of braze-ons and and options for everything is the deal for this bad boy.

I sent this frame to ENG Materials Lab in Sante Fe Springs, CA, yesterday.  It’s going to be put through the four fatigue and impact tests used for the European CEN standards.  As mentioned earlier, I used Cycle Design Group’s Fillet Pro, which I’ve found out is basically a 38% silver brazing alloy.  It’s not [...]
