Fresh Paint: Sean Conroy’s MAX Road

I got Sean Conroy’s road bike back from the painter yesterday and I couldn’t be happier with the color.  That green explodes in the sun, and the light green panel with red lettering is a great compliment.  This was an interesting experiment with the MAX tubing.  Everything is MAX except for the top tube, and it’s fillet brazed instead of lugged.  There won’t be any noticeable difference in ride quality, but this frame ended up about a quarter of a pound lighter.  I can’t wait to see pics of it from Sean once it’s built up.
