Like a great restaurant with a huge garden out back, every aspect of the Argonaut bicycle frame is conceived, designed, engineered and manufactured in house. Each customer’s bicycle starts with its own 3D CAD file, and is cut from raw, unidirectional pre-impregnated carbon fiber cloth. We make the best ingredients possible, prepare them meticulously with the most advanced tools available, then lovingly assemble them with painstaking attention to detail.

Forks

We’ve been using ENVE’s fork since 2007, and it’s still one of the best forks on the market. Both rim and disc brake models come with a 1.25”-1.125” tapered steerer. The disc fork accommodates flat mount brakes and 12 x 100mm thru axle, and QR for the rim brake fork.

Head tube

Customizable in length to the .1mm, and engineered for stout response yet supple road feel. Despite the fact that integrated headsets are the new norm, we still believe a press-in headset yields the best performance and reliability, and use the co/designed Chis King I8 headset exclusively.

Down Tube

The entire Argonaut road frame features a layup pattern unique to it’s rider. The benefits of a rider tuned layup pattern are most evident in the downtube where we’re able to manipulate vertical, horizontal, and torsional stiffness values based on a riders size and power output.

Bottom Bracket

Tiring of being plagued by creaky press fit bottom brackets, we helped pioneer the T47 threaded BB standard. The T47 shares the tried and true reliability of a traditional BSA bottom bracket, with the added benefit of being compatible with every crank on the market today.

Drop Outs

Molded using our own propriety tooling, our dropouts can accommodate 130mm QR, Flat Mount Disc QR, or 142 X 12 Flat Mount thru axle featuring the Mavic Speed Release skewer.

Seat Post

The Argonaut road bike features a full ENVE cockpit, combined with our in house molding capabilities we can engineer the compliance of the seat tube and seat stays specific to an individual riders size and weight. That’s full custom, from scratch, every frame.
