Racing Roundup: Backyard Battles & Global Gravel

Racing Roundup: Backyard Battles & Global Gravel

Summer’s heating up — and so is the action. From tight crit corners to high-alpine gravel grinds, our team is showing up and throwing down. Here’s what’s on tap this week:

Crit Racing Returns to Bend –
Cascade Cycling Classic, This Weekend

Crit season is here, and we're back for round two at the Cascade Cycling Classic Criterium, right in the heart of downtown Bend.

We sponsored this event last year, and we’re stepping it up even further this time around — because if there’s one discipline that screams “American cycling,” it’s the crit. Fast laps, tight corners, elbows out. We love it because it’s fierce, it’s focused, and it’s local.

The RM3 may not be marketed as a crit bike, but don’t let that fool you. With three distinct layup schedules designed to support different riding styles, we can tune it to match whatever race-day flavor you bring. Want to sprint out of every corner and drop watt bombs on the front straight? The S3 layup is your ticket — a carbon recipe built to maximize stiffness and efficiency under high load.

We’re also proud to continue our partnership with the Horner Cycling Foundation, which works to remove barriers and get more kids on bikes. Racing teaches resilience, confidence, and community. Those are values we believe in — and we’re honored to support groups who instill them early.

📍 Race Details
Location: Downtown Bend
First race: 12:00 PM
Final race (Cat 1/2): 7:25 PM

Whether you come for one race or stay all day, swing by our booth, talk bikes, and soak in a full day of speed, energy, and connection.

Want to join the action? There’s still time to register and pin a number on.

Cassius Goes Full Send at Lost and Found Sierra

After a run of race cancellations, illness, and general bad luck, Cassius is lining up at Lost and Found Sierra this weekend with a chip on his shoulder and a point to prove.

This is a big one. Part of the Gravel Earth Series, Lost and Found cuts through the rugged Northeastern Sierra in California. Wide open terrain, punishing climbs, and endless speed, it’s exactly the kind of course that makes Cassius shine.

His custom GR3, designed around max-attack geometry and power-tuned layup, is loaded for speed and confidence. He’s running the latest Schwalbe rubber for that “road bike on dirt” vibe, mounted to ENVE G23 wheels for the perfect blend of damping, strength, and weight.

We’re wishing Cassius a clean run and a fast day out — and we’d love to feature more Argonaut riders, even if you’re not quite as fast (few are, after all).

Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder:
The Grand Tour of Gravel

Five days. Four nights. 350 miles. One unforgettable ride.

The Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder is more than a race — it’s an immersive experience through the very terrain that inspired our GR3. This stage race slices through the Cascades and the Central Oregon high country we call home. It’s a test of skill, grit, and gear — and the GR3 was built for exactly this kind of journey.

Fully supported racing by day. Catered meals, staff-supported camping, and riverside recovery zones by night. It’s the kind of event where the bike isn’t just your tool — it’s your companion.

We’ll be there all week with our crew — including a full lineup of Factory Racers. Over the next three weeks, we’ll be introducing them one by one in a nod to the classic video game that inspired the event branding:

🧱 The Architect from San Francisco – Precision is everything. We dialed his geometry as meticulously as the buildings he draws. He’ll map lines and crush climbs with calculated power.

✈️ The Pilot from Marin – A master of flight paths and fast descents. His instinct is speed, his strategy is smooth. Catch him if you can. (You can’t.)

🇦🇺 The Dark Horse from Perth – Racing pedigree, international experience, and legs that don’t quit. She’s here to disrupt the scene with a hunger to win that can’t be stopped.

First profile drops soon — stay tuned.
