Your Argonaut is transformed from raw carbon fiber to full-fledged bicycle in roughly 32 hours. It all begins with CNC-cut tooling designed specifically for your Argonaut and continues with bespoke components hand-built according to your unique rider profile.

Utilizing unidirectional carbon unlocks carbon fiber’s limitless potential to tailor the ride quality of your bicycle specifically to your body and performance requirements. Hand crafted layer by layer, that is how every Argonaut is born from scratch.

Schedule and Pattern

This is what elevates theory to reality. The layup pattern is the design of the individual plys of carbon that result in the schedule. The layup schedule is the orientation of the fibers in your frame. Our consistency and accuracy give us unparalleled control over the ride quality of your bike.

The only way to ensure the safety and durability of our frames is through rigorous testing. In our test lab every Argonaut product is submitted to testing far above and beyond UCI and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards. We bend it, we break it, we load it and unload it hundreds of thousands of times. Safety and durability are never compromised. Because at Argonaut there are no compromises.

Carbon Fiber Composite

There’s a beauty to working with composites. You’re not stuck with just one material. In addition to unidirectional and woven carbon fiber, we enhance the ride quality of the frame by using Aramid fibers within the layup structure. We further elevate the experience of riding an Argonaut by employing materials like Innegra and Kevlar to add dampening and durability.

Engineering and Fabrication All Under One Roof

Argonaut bikes are born of a team effort between designers and fabricators. New school 3D rendering skills combined with 20+ combined years of bicycle frame fabrication yields a bicycle that is both technologically advanced and…. straight. Only when the right tools, the proper ingredients and skilled, experienced artisans all work in harmony does true perfection come within grasp.

Not all carbon is created equal .

We only purchase top-of-the-line raw carbon materials directly from our suppliers who configure them to our exact specifications. Every inch of carbon that goes into our custom bike builds far exceeds industry standards.

Unlike others, compelled to source less expensive carbon from overseas, we invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities that empower us to design and develop our own proprietary carbon components right here in Bend.
